Getting Political
“Broken Engagement
” by Gen. Wesley Clark
>We should have pride in our history, confidence in our principles, and take security in the knowledge that we are at the epicenter of a 228-year revolution in the transformation of political systems. But recognizing the power of our values also means understanding their meaning. Freedom and dignity spring from within the human heart. They are not imposed. And inside the human heart is where the impetus for political change must be generated.
War On Terror
Two links I found to day, independently of one another: Newsgaming.com — September 12th is an amazing “simulation” game created by these folks who create what are essentially interactive political cartoons.
Couple that with Twists of Terror: You Cut the Head, but the Body Still Moves (NY Times), and you start to see some real fallacies in the War On Terror.
New Apartment — Cool stuff!
We signed the lease to the new digs yesterday — check out these pics of the new place in virtual smell-o-rama!

Apple: Keynote thoughts
After watching Steve Jobs’ Macworld keynote speech (via Quicktime Stream), I’ve been surfing around, wondering what people’s thoughts are — it seems many folks are underwhelmed, but ultimately that’s usually what happens with these things. Lots of hype and anticipation, and when Jobs neglects to pull a golden egg from his bum people seem disappointed!
After thinking about it and posting responses on other people’s blogs, I figured I should post my thoughts here.
Read on to find out what I think about iPod mini, iLife, GarageBand and more…
Space age description
I really loved this description of this guy’s experience hooking the iPod up to his car stereo:
[T]he wire that leads to the iPod is not exactly a neat solution … the whole thing looked quite a bit more Apollo 13 than Apollo 11
It’s the day of the show, y’all!
Just wanted to let everyone know about the play I’m doing, Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day. It’s at the Atlantic Theater, saturday and sunday mornings through Nov. 2, and in case you couldn’t figure it out, it’s a kids show, but fun for all ages! Click Here for the details!
Man the Torpedo
I rode the bike from the lower east side to williamsburg yesterday without tags, a little shady, but now I’m 100 percent legal.
Woohoo. Will post more pics tomorrow.
Buying a Scooter
I was thisclose to buying one of these yesterday from a guy on craigslist. Unfortunately the ItalJet he was buying to replace this one fell through, so he decided to hold on to this one for now. I was all geared up, too!
Maybe next time.
