Not quite in the order I painted it in, but illustrative nonetheless.

Strawberry in shadow
A relatively quick painting. I started with the back drop to ‘set up my lighting’ a it were. Then thought, what would look interesting in this light? Best I could come up with was a strawberry from a picture I took of one from our garden. I used the photo as a reference, but deviated considerably once I got the shape and the basic details.
One nice thing about strawberries is that they are seldom the perfect strawberry shape, so I didn’t mind that mine is a bit malformed.

Focus
This is inspired by my recent foray into (indoor) rock climbing. Spent more time on it than the previous few, but Im playing with my Brushes technique.
Also, no special effects apps used in this one!
I’m gonna need to up my drawing rate to reach 50, though.
In Peace
This was a really quick one from last night. Used TiltShiftGen to blur the edges and boost the contrast, then re-imported the adjusted image and faded it with the original drawing, which I think gives a nice other-worldly effect 🙂
Head in the sand.
Another day, another drawing. Not sure what prompted this one, but I like how the grass and feathers turned out.
At the bar
This is my first contribution for nanodrawmo. I’m going to try to do all my drawings using brushes app for iPhone; in this case I also tweaked it a bit with tiltshiftgenerator , boosting the colors and adding some blur.
Using brushes is a bit slower for doing quick sketches, as I tend to start really rough (and ugly!) and then refin refine refine. I drew this yesterday but felt like I needed to tweak it a bit before posting (hence the blurring).
Hopefully I’ll get a bit more fluid as the month goes on.
